For parents of children whose kids are enrolled in Summer Workshops at MAP, here’s some reminders and a checklist. This information is usually sent out by email, but we’ve found that some parents look for it on the website, so we’re adding here.
Release and Photo Consent
If you haven’t yet completed the release and Photo Consent form, please do so ASAP.
Here are the two forms you need to complete:
- Release Waiver and Emergency Medical Release: https://remakemusic.net/release-of-liability-and-emergency-medical-release/
- Photo Release: https://remakemusic.net/photo-release-and-consent/
Note: When you complete the form, you may see an error. However, I have been receiving the completed forms regardless, so you may ignore the error.
Self-Serve: Invoices, Receipts, and Schedule
Just a reminder that you can view your invoices (both paid and unpaid), as well as your broad schedule on our website.
- If you want to see your invoices, you can do so by going to https://online.mapflc.com/client-dashboard/
- While you’re logged in, you can also see your schedule from here: https://online.mapflc.com/my-account/bookings/
Tip: If it asks you to log in and you forgot your password, I recommend selecting “forgot password” and following the instructions.
Checklist
We have prepared a checklist to prepare for our summer program. Please see the following:
- Please send kids with snacks/meals (lunch) and water each day (in a water bottle labeled with their name). Please be mindful of potential allergies. From families who reported thus far, the only food allergy I see is shellfish. I will update everyone if there is a significant update.
- We will have snacks available for sale. They cost between 10 cents and $2 depending on the snack. If you have a particular allowance you would like them to stay within, please let us know (e.g. “only one snack a day” or “no seaweed”).
- Please pack sunscreen for your kids. We also recommend applying sunscreen at or before drop-off. We will go outside several times per day when the weather is good.
- Reminder: General drop-off for the workshop is 8:30 – 9:00 a.m.
- Reminder: General pick-up for the workshop is 4 p.m.
- Reminder: If you opted-in to extended pick-up, the pick-up time is 5:15 p.m.
- Please bring your child to the door at drop-off where a MAP instructor will bring them in and take their attendance.
- If you are running late, or cannot make a day, please notify us both by phone (781) 605-3711 (no text) and by email (info@mapflc.com).
- If you have an emergency, you may call/text myself at 505-379-6253 or our on-site coordinator, Chie Yasuda, on her cell phone at 505-850-8120.
- Calling the 781-605-3711 number does forward to both Chie and myself, so you are still encouraged to call that number first.

- Reminder: You will be charged $1/minute for late pickup based on your scheduled pick-up time.
Student showcases, concerts, photos, and other fun stuff
- Photos: At MAP, we do our best to share photos with parents who’ve given us their permission. I’ll be sharing a couple links to shared folders with photos later.
- If you did not opt in to photos, and you see a photo of your kid, please let us know and we’ll take care of it.
- Student schowcases: At MAP, we believe when you give kids opportunities to show their work and perform, they rise to the occasion. Thus, we conduct a student showcase on Friday afternoon at the end of each week. This year, we’re doing them a little bit earlier than year’s past at 3:30pm. We encourage you to mark your calendar, so that you can attend these events featuring your kids.
- Saturday afternoon concerts: MAP music teachers will be performing in a series of concerts on Saturday afternoons for five weeks in July and August. Plus, we’ve done our best to fit the weekly summer workshop themes. Tickets are free with an option to pay the recommended ticket price. These events are for all ages. Learn more and grab your tickets: https://mapflc.com/concerts
- We’re also considering inviting some kids who want to join from the prior week to open the concert with a miniature performance led by the teacher. We’ll play that one by ear, but just a heads up!
- If you know someone else you might like it, then please also help spread the word by sharing the link.
- Field trips: Each week on Wednesday morning, we will be going on a field trip. Please look out for an invitation to sign a permission slip by email. The field trip page is accessible from here: https://remakemusic.net/field-trip-information/ and is in two parts, a first section where you input information and a second section for the signature. Be sure to complete both parts.
