Description

This fall we are offering two courses in collaboration with InnoSTEMLab, one for beginners and one for intermediate students who have passed the level 1 class or equivalent.

Robotics 1: Beginner module for ages 7-13

Six weeks starting Saturday, October 18 from 10am to 12pm, Robotics 1 ( 7-13 yrs) will be introduced to the fundamentals of engineering design and basic programming using block based platforms like Scratch. Students will explore how to build and control simple circuits using motors, LEDs, IR sensors, and an Arduino-based controller. Each week, they will take part in hands on activities that involve designing, building, and testing small robotic components, gradually building their confidence in STEM concepts.

Weekly activities include assembling motor circuits, using sensors to detect light or motion, and programming their bots to move or react to their environment. Students will also engage in mini challenges to apply what they have learned in fun and creative ways.

Robotics 2: Intermediate module for ages 7-13

Note: In order to attend this class, you must have taken Robotics 1 or equivalent. Please contact info@mapflc.com if you have any questions about your child’s eligibility.

This module is designed for students with a foundational understanding of programming and prior experience with microcontroller platforms like Arduino or similar development boards. The curriculum advances beyond basic sensor integration to explore sophisticated sensor technologies essential for modern robotics and autonomous systems.
