Teen art class

Description

Is your teen interested in learning art? Our Saturday teen art classes are taught by experienced teachers who are also practicing local artists. Teens ages 9-17 are invited to question, explore, experiment, and solve problems as they create and interact with art. Class sizes are limited to a max of twelve students to ensure that students of all levels benefit from these experiences.

For ages 9-17. This class is for students interested in exploring painting and drawing . There are two upcoming five-week sessions. The first session starts on September 28, 2024, and the second session starts on November 17 (see schedule for details). You may register for one session or both. Different material will be covered in each session.

In these classes, students will learn drawing techniques, fundamental acrylic techniques, and will receive step-by-step instruction.

In this six-week-long class, students will learn drawing techniques, fundamental acrylic techniques, and will receive step-by-step instruction.

Among the more specific things the students will be learning are:

• Introduction to watercolors. Students will learn about various brush types, strokes, brush control and 10-12 types of painting techniques.
• Geometric techniques. Students will learn geometric watercolor painting using tape to create wet-on-wet technique.
• Watercolor flowers. Students will participate in a lesson which includes drawing, stroke techniques, etc.

Note that the class fee does not included the art material fee.
